A giveaway! And... look what I've been hoarding for 8 months

OK, so I made these rings sometime last February, maybe even in January. I have no idea why I haven't listed them in the shop or shown them to the world in any way. I haven't even brought them out to a show. Well, Lorelei convinced me that it is time so here they are. To make it a real party I am going to have a drawing to give one of these puppies away! Woo-hoo!

As you can see the bands are made of copper. I etched some of them and others I gave a hammered texture to. If you know anything about copper you know that it may turn your finger green. I say may because it doesn't turn everyone's finger green, just some (the chosen ones, I like to think:). This doesn't bother me in the slightest but I realize it might not be everyone's cup of tea. So if you are someone not holding a cup of tea this drawing might not be for you. :)

They are rustic, a bit primitive, even a little crude (it was my very first attempt at soldering) but I love them nonetheless! The sizes range from approximately 6 to 9.5 so this is what I am going to do: the winner (which will be chosen by a random drawing) will tell me what size they want and I will tell them which rings are in that size. Or, you can tell me which ring you like and I will tell you what size it is and perhaps (if you want it bad enough) it will be a size that will fit.

The rules: Just leave me a comment and you will be entered into the drawing. Just one comment per person please. I will choose a winner around noon on Thursday. After that the rings are heading out to my last outdoor show of the season so if you see one you absolutely must have just let me know. :)

Whoa these are great! A little thing you can do to keep copper from turning your skin green is to coat the back in clear fingernail polish. Love the etched bands...copper is my favorite metal lately.

Stephanie said…
Ooo, how could you hide those beauties from us?! Thank you Lorelei for convincing Nancy to show us! I wear a size 9. I don't care if I get a green finger, all of the rings are too pretty to not wear.
Why have you been saving these? They are so cool! Beautiful on the top and the bottom. Oh, I love copper and the colors and designs "rock"! I'd take any of them.
Dani said…
Ummmm I think the 9-1/2 will fit my big old middle finger!!

Copper turns me green... hut if my finger was adorned with one of those celadon lovelies - who would know, or care! Nice work!
woohoo! I'll deal with the green finger if I have a ring this cute to put on it! Sign me up!

Such beautiful rings! I don't know my size but I'm loving the teal with white flower and leaves the most.
Altered Beauty said…
Oh my gosh, I LOVE these! They are so beautiful! I would love the size 9.5, but if I won I would find a finger to wear any of them on!!!
Andrew Thornton said…
You can either use a spray crystal krylon or clear fingernail polish or another form of clear barrier on the inside of the ring to keep it from interacting with folk's skin.
Denise said…
Oh my gosh, they are amazing! Even or espcially in their beautiful rustic state! I love copper and wear a copper ring that I got from Mount Rushmore. It sometimes does turn my finger green - and I don't care!
Love your pieces!!
Cheers, Denise

I'm not fussy. I'll take anything you have in a size 8 or 9, please and thank you. =OD
Those rings are AWESOME! I am a size 7 as well...which means all the display rings in the jewelry store just happen to fit me perfectly :) Bad for my fiance, lol. I wonder if you rubbed Renaissance wax on them if that would prevent them from turning fingers green? Just a thought. Thanks for the giveaway...hope I win one!!
