Piccadilly
Somehow a week has zipped by without me bloggity-blog-blogging. Huh. Not really sure how that happened. I did make a quick little trip down to Long Island to celebrate my grandparent's 65 anniversary (Happy Anniversary Grandma and Papa!) so I will blame it on that. :)
Above is the first pair of earrings made with molds I made from a few London trip buttons. I call them Piccadilly. There will be many variations on this design - some single dangles in different sizes, some on hoops, some posts... you get the idea. I really like this two part pair in the two different glazes. It's different for me. They have a distinctive medieval/middle ages look which makes me very happy. And best of all they remind me of my trip with L. :)

This is another new design which I haven't named yet. Any suggestions? Again, they have a very Old World feel to them. I'm really diggin' that feeling these days. (Incidentally, the button that I made this mold from dates to the 1830s! I just love that:)
This third new design is called Shell Drops (I was really low on inspiration when I came up with that name). They are glazed in my favorite Autumn Harvest glaze combo of brown and blues. Pretty, eh?
Comments
the new geometric shapes you are now creating are fabulous, too.
I still get comments whenever I wear the earrings I bought from you. I then have to say 'no, I didn't make these ones, they are from roundrabbit on etsy'
nevermind.... ;)
Love the shell drops, too.
It's so intersting to see the inspiration you brought back from London.
Your work is so stunning! (And thanks for sharing the great photo of the little bunnies in the last post.)
