I felt very Springy when I made this latest batch of pieces. Can't you tell from this pile of super fun ribbon slides? They are a great size to use as a bracelet focal or as a connector.
This batch reminds me of fancy manhole covers. They also illustrate my possible mental illness. Anyone who works with clay will understand that putting that many holes in one piece just creates a ton of work for yourself. At least it does for me and my OCD way of working. However, as I always say...More holes means more options! So, yay for holes!
I just love the Spring flowers in this texture and I took it even farther by glazing them in all kinds of crazy contrasting colors. I was joking around on Facebook and said that I think I might have been channeling my grandmother's sense of color when I glazed this batch. She had a way of combining colors that was often amazing, though at times just bizarre. So, these are for you, Grandma!
I only made of few of these watch face pieces. They are double sided!
Last up are these fancy pendants. Fit for a princess and very exotic! I can picture them strung on a thick bundle of sari silk ribbon... oh yes, I can... :)
