Time for a giveaway! Woo-hoo!
I've been feeling extremely thankful these days. Thankful for the help I received after the flood. Thankful for having such wonderful friends who look after me. Thankful for having a wonderful man in my life who makes me feel like the most important person on the planet. Thankful for my loyal and new customers who continue to support me even after months of absence. For the first time in a long time I feel content and grounded. So what should I do with all this sicky sweet happy happy joy joy? Have a giveaway! Hell yes!
I made this bracelet this morning in a mad fury of inspiration. I love it when that happens. I think this is a design I will continue so I thought it would be fun to offer the very first one as a giveaway.
It has all kinds of fun things going on, starting with the oak leaf porcelain focal I made in my last Extra batch. I attached some leather cord and threaded one of my faceted beads on it along with some super chunky jump rings to slide around.
I crimped the leather with a small piece of copper pipe/tube that can be found at your local hardware store. It comes in a coil and can be cut with a normal pipe cutter. I threaded all the leather cord through and just flattened the copper until it was tight. Works like a charm! Also included on this piece is one of my little porcelain hearts, a beautiful lampwork headpin by my friend Kelley of Kelley's Bead Studio, and a sweet little ceramic bead by one of my heroes, Elaine Ray.
Sooooo, how can you enter this giveaway, you ask? It's easy! Just leave a comment on this post and tell me what your favorite color is. Be precise! None of this "my favorite color is blue." I want specifics! "My favorite color is deep sea at sunrise blue!" OK, I'm kind of kidding about the favorite color (not really, I actually want to know). Just leave a comment and on MONDAY, December 19th at noon I will draw a winner. And please feel free to spread the word! I feel like I've been totally out of the loop these past few months and would love to have some new blog readers so please share the link to this post with any and all, on your blogs or on your Facebook wall. I would continue to be the big old sappy, grateful pile of misty-eyed goo that I am today! :)
Small print: This bracelet measures 7 3/4" in length. This contest is open to every single person on the planet. Even the married ones. :)

Tough to choose one color but I guess I'd go with purple. In the movie, "Something's Gotta Give", there is a shade of purple in the horizon of the beach shots that is beautiful. It's either that or the combo of sky, sea and sand that does it for me.

My favorite color is a light, sea blue - like a pale aquamarine. We just painted my daughter's room that color and I love it.
The bracelet you made is great! I'd love to have it, especially, because you made it.
My favorite color is pinkish purple. I guess a shade of lilac.
I love the starkness of winter against the swirling skies, as if I am standing in a black and white photo and there is no color.
I love the deep emotional strength of life....
Love your work!

You are SOOOO BACK!
I don't have just one favorite color.
Greens are on the top of my list though, any kind of green. Orange is also a big fav. It just depends on my mood I guess.
What a clever crimp with the copper tubing...
Faithful follower :)

My favorite color of late is a bright peacock blue, with touches of deep green and iridescent purple. But I like all colors!
Enjoy the day, Miss Nancy!

I don't have just one favorite color.
Pinks are always at the top but purple is right there with it!
I think every thing I have from you is pink, purple and amber. Thanks for all the beautiful work.

Blessings to you!
For me - my favorite color is Deep Shadow Blue Metallic - the color of a 1988 Mustang I once owned.

It changes every day, but anything energetic looking, without being noisy and drab. Clear is good. I like the colour of a clear, blue sea.
Ya se que es tarde pero me hace ilusion contarte mi color favorito. En realidad me gustan todos los del arcoiris, chillones y subidos de tono o suaves y pastel, todos.
Felicidades por tu trabajo, soy fan tuyo.
I discovered your blog a few weeks ago and I'm fascinated by your pieces.
I know it's late but I look forward to tell my favorite color. Actually I like all of the rainbow, loud and bawdy or soft pastel, all.
Congratulations for your work, I am fan of yours.
