My sweet boy
It is with the deepest sadness and a broken heart that I tell you that yesterday my wonderful bunny, Petey, passed away in my arms unexpectedly. I am still in shock and really don't understand what happened. All I know is that I am totally shattered. The depth of sadness is immeasurable.I know that many of you enjoyed seeing him from time to time, along with his girlfriend, Laurel. Laurel is lost without him. She keeps looking for him and sits waiting for him.
He was a special boy. My heart. I miss him so much.

Losing a pet is one of the hardest losses we go through in life, they give us so much and ask for little in return.

I was devastated when I lost my cat. I went to the shelter to volunteer to get back on track. They have bunnies there. May not be your thing, but it did help me heal. Just a thought?
Really really sorry. No one should have to go through the loss of a friend.

I'm just so so sorry.
I'm really sorry to hear of your loss. I've been thinking about what I would say, the perfect thing to say to console you and help you through this time. But the truth is, there is nothing that can be said to wave away the pain of having apart of yourself gone.
Just know that you're in my thoughts and prayers. Remember the times you had together and be grateful for the moments you shared.
And eating copious amounts of chocolate and drinking red wine are good options too.
