I love my sugar cubes!

Porcelain, Agate, Leather & Copper Necklace

I made this necklace yesterday using my porcelain sugar cube beads, Tibetan agate, Greek leather cord and copper. I love it. The colors, the weight, the chunky perfection...all of it!

Porcelain, Agate, Leather & Copper Necklace

Every time I make beads like this I curse them and vow to never make them again because of how labor intensive they are for me. And then I work with them I forgive them for being such a pain in my arse.

Great way to display them! They look great in this big chunky pieces <3
I love these cubes!!! I'm gonna be on the look out for them from now on. I feel the same way when I make bead caps, they are so awesome but a pain in the tush to make so I don't do it often.

The sugar cubes remind me of a story that I'll have to tell you one day. It involves sailing a Viking ship, climbing the walls, and moving facial features around... in a nice way.

Splendid! I love the pure geometry and coincidentally the other night I had a dream about pool cue chalk with something hidden inside. These beads remind me of that experience -- magical :)
